The Incredible Clicking Knee

Comments

I hope you aren't in for trouble...it sounds like arthritis. The cartilage wears out in the knee or arthritis causes spurs, it all makes you "click". Do you notice it is worse when the weather changes?

I clicked and suffered for 20 years of my life, now at 52 I've got 2 total knee replacements. Bionic woman! haha
yes, i have (due to a old knee injury). not sure that's an answer you really wanna hear, lol. but i do get them and have learned to live with 'em -- not that you wanna hear that either! long as the knee causes occasional discomfort, not great pain, i figure i'm good to go.
I don't know what the sudden onset of the clicking means, but I do know I've had bad knees all of my life and have had to listen to that infernal clicking...so I feel your pain, literally! Hope it's just a passing thing for you :)
I have an ankle that clicks (surprise!) and I was told that it is air in the joint cavity. Anoying but not a concern.
I don't know if you're in trouble. I'd go to ortho to find out. I will tell you it was a major pain to play hide in seek at age 10 because my ankles cracked and clicked and made noises. I don't know whether they do or don't because I don't play anymore. I do know people can make cracking sounds when twisting to loosen back or neck. So to feel secure, check. I don't know you're age. I will tell you, once 30 hit for me, downhill with stuff and pain :). AND I'm lucky compared to most.
